“Food is Ready”
Con-create Festival, Kajaani, Finland – 2026
Acrylic and spray paint, freehand. Sizes: 900 x 300 cm + two 400 x 300 cm sections.
Two bears wait next to a jar hanging like bait. Inside it, a fish with a human eye watches the only one who knows what is really happening.
The bears are made of interwoven ribbons, my signature style, and represent Finland itself. They wait calmly, not knowing they are part of a trap. “Food is Ready” is about how we are manipulated through food and desire how what looks like a gift can hide a hook.
